Become a Pilot

If you want to become a pilot, the journey usually starts with earning a private pilot license (PPL). This involves studying the basics in ground school, practicing with flight training, and passing both a written exam and a flight test. From there, you can work towards advanced certifications like an instrument rating (IR) or a commercial pilot license (CPL), which require more flight hours and specialized training. If your goal is to fly for an airline, you’ll need an airline transport pilot (ATP) license and plenty of flight experience. Along the way, make sure to keep up with medical exams, licensing requirements, and any additional training needed for your specific career path.
