The commercial License is exactly what you need to be eligible to be hired and collect money for flying. Some few jobs will be satisfied with this licence only, like an Instructor job after you obtained your Instructor Rating, surveillance, photography, etc
Other jobs will required more ratings like a multi engine rating to be eligible to become a Pilot in command of a multi engine plane and most of the time an Instrument Rating is always desirable to hire a pilot for Medical Evacuation, Cargo, Private Corporations and Airlines.

Airlines will need some more knowledge and skills from the pilots and they will request an Airline Pilot License that allows you to become a Pilot in Command in a Multi Crew Environment Aircraft.

To be able to operate as a crew member of a Multi Crew Operation the Commercial Pilots can write an exam named IATRA to be eligible for this kind of jobs. A minium of 250 hours is required to be eligible to write the exam.

As you can see is recommended to obtain the Commercial Pilot License plus the multi Engine rating and the Instrument Rating.
The Night Rating is included during your Commercial Training.
